Devi Patan Siddha Peeth

Devi Patan Siddha Peeth (Pitha) is situated 70 km from Gonda and just 2 km from Tulsipur, amidst the swampy areas of the Himalaya. The pitha was established by Guru Gorakshnath of the Nath Sampradaya. It is believed that the temple situated here had been built by King Vikramaditya. This famous holy place is one among the 51 Saktipithas. During Navratri a large fair is held at this temple. Every year on Shaiva Panchami the deity of Pir Ratan Nath is brought from Dang in Nepal to the Devi Patan temple, where it is worshipped along with the goddess.
