Devanatha Swami Temple




Devanatha Swami Temple is located at Tiruvaheendirapuram. It is one of the ancient Vaishnavite temples and also one of the 108 Vaishnavite shrines sanctified by the visit of the great Alwars and Acharyas.

The temple can be reached by traveling 7 km west of Tirupapuliyur Railway Station.Tiruvaheendirapuram is situated between the sacred Oushadhagiri and Garuda Nathi (River Gadilam) which is considered to be as holy as the Ganges.

The chief deity of the temple is Lord Devanatha. Other gods are Dasa Satyar, Deivanayagan, Achuta, and Mevoojothi. The goddess of the temple is Sengamala Thayar (Hemabujavalli).
