Deopahar

Deoparbat Ruins



Deopahar or Deoparbat Ruins are situated about 5 km from Numaligarh in Golaghat District of Assam, near Kaziranga National Park. It is the great archeological remains of an ancient temple, with statues scattered on a hill top. To climb up the hill is really exhausting, especially on a hot day. But one can get a clear view of Numaligarh tea estate and nearby Karbi Anglong hills and forests from here.

The nearest railway stations are Rangia and Furkating. The nearest airports are at Guwahati and Jorhat.
