Delhi Railway Station




Also known as Old Delhi Railway Station, Delhi Railway Station (Delhi Main Railway Station) was the first railway station built in Delhi. It is located near Chandni Chowk area of Delhi and is about seven km from Connaught Place. The station is served by the Northern Railways. The main train connections include Mussoorie Express, Samjhauta Express and Pink City Express. The largest of Old Delhi's monuments, the Red Fort is located close to the station. The other stations in Delhi are New Delhi Railway Station (barely 8 km) and Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station.

Computerized reservation facility provided. A tourist information counter is set up by the railway department on the premises. Towards the north of the station is the Interstate Bus Terminal (main bus station) at Kashmiri Gate. Indira Gandhi International Airport is about 20 km from the station.
