Located at an altitude of 3048 m, Dayara Bugyal is a scenic spot in Uttarkashi District. Bugyal means 'high altitude meadow.'
As its name indicates, it is a high altitude meadow bestowed with rich natural beauty. The sight of the Himalayas from here is breathtaking. The place also doubles up as an excellent skiing location in the winter. A small lake is located nearby, which is a favorite spot with campers.
Dayara Bugyal can be reached after an 8 km trek from the village of Barsu.
