Datta Kuteeram is a temple of
Lord Dattatreya, a rare temple in South India. Kuteeram means abode and Datta Kuteeram means living place of Dattatreya. The temple is at Sengalipuram, about 20 km from
Kumbakonam.
The temple houses two most powerful yanthras, namely, Kartha Veeryarjuna Yanthra and Sri Datta Yanthra. Datta Jayanthi (mahothsava) is a festival celebrated here on every Karthigai (November-December).
