Daranghati Sanctuary




Daranghati Sanctuary is one of the highlights of Shimla District. Popular of the inhabitants here are monal, tragopan, koklas, goral, kalij, musk deer and thar. There is a network of bridle paths and inspection paths to explore the sanctuary.

Daranghati is also a perfect venue for those who wish to trek along the mountain heights. Assistance is available to the visitors from the forest staff posted at Dofda and Sarahan.

The best time to visit is from April to June and August to October.
