Dappu Kali

Dappu Kali is a group-dance of the Moplahs (Muslim community) of Malabar. The performers form two rows of ten of twenty. They beat on the dappu (a small drum), which each dancer holds in his left hand and dance with exquisitely symmetrical swayings of the body and astonishing co-ordination of rhythm steps and timing of dappu.
