Dakshina Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, established in 1918, is located in
Chennai. Declared by the parliament as an institution of national importance, the sabha offers diploma and certificate courses for proficiency in Hindi or in the teaching of Hindi.
Degrees such as MA, MPhil, PhD, Dlit, diploma in translation, diploma in journalism, BEd, MEd, and siksha shathak are offered. The institute has postgraduate centers at Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
