Dahara

Dahara is a musical instrument used by the Laddi Shah singers of Jammu and Kashmir. It is an iron rod of about 75 cm in length. This iron rod has a bent at the top similar to a walking stick and a small cross handle at the other end. A number of metal rings are placed on the iron rod. The instrument is shaken according to the rhythm of the song and a melodious tune is produced.
