DKJ Foundation is situated at
Alwarpet, in
Chennai. Established in 1991, it is built in memory of a popular Carnatic vocalist, D K Jayaraman. He trained large number of disciples with an objective to promote the Carnatic music as a generic one.
DKJ Foundation is dedicated to serve the society by organizing blood and eye donation camps, providing a platform for young musicians and awarding scholarships to two deserving music students every year. Lectures and music concerts are arranged in various educational institutions.
