Established in 1948, Coconut Research Station is one of the research stations of
Kerala Agricultural University. The mandate of the station is to develop agro techniques for coconut and coconut-based farming system in red soils.
Spread over in 14 hectors of land, the center is situated at Kattachalkuzhy, around 4 km south of Balaramapuram in Thiruvananthapuram District.
