Church of St Peter the Apostle is situated at a distance of 10 km from
Udupi in
Karnataka. The Church has eight parish wards under it. Pedruchi Chaavi is the quarterly newsletter of the Church.
The earlier building of the Church of St Peter the Apostle had been badly ruined prior to the demolition of churches by Tipu Sultan. On April 29 1861, Church of St Peter the Apostle at Barkur was erected as an independent parish. Maryknoll Elementary School is being run by the Church.
