Chumik Marpo is a nomadic area located in
Leh District of
Jammu and Kashmir. It is on the way from Thyok towards
Kuru.
Pangong Tso is at a short distance from here.
Chumik Marpo is accessible from Tangtse. A trekking route from Shingsaw via Phirtse La is also available for the adventure enthusiasts. From Chumik Marpo, one can even trek to the Sarchu, which is on the banks of the Yunan River.
