Chumchum is a favourite oval shaped sweet of the Bengalis. It is brownish in color and of a denser texture than the rasgulla
. It is made from milk, granules of mawa or dried milk, sugar, flour, water, cardamoms and saffron color. It can also be preserved longer than other milk sweets. Dipped in a sweet syrup, Chumchum has a moist spongy exterior and an airy texture.
