Chumbi Valley




Chumbi Valley lies between Sikkim and Bhutan. The massive 31 km long Zemu glacier is situated on the western side of this valley. In the 15th century, the valley was inhabited by the Namgyal who had migrated from east Tibet (Kham). Chumbi valley is the traditional gateway to India from Tibet.
