Chudran is on the Bhandal-Traila road, in the north-western end of Chamba District. It is near the district's border with the states of Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir and is about 4 km from Bhandal and 6 km from Langera.
In the neighborhood lie Gamgul Sanctuary (a high-altitude sanctuary) and Bhandal Valley. Tissa, at an altitude of about 1,570 m, is within a short distance.
