Chorten Nyimala is an important and highest usable pass in North Sikkim District. It is at an altitude of about 5,791 m above the sea level. The other nearby passes include Lonak La, that connects Lachen Valley to the Lonak Valley and Donkyia La Pass that connects Lachen Valley to the Lachung Valley.
