Choodikotta Festival is the annual festival of the famous Choodikotta Sree Krishna Temple, which is situated near Mahe. It is also known by the name Ekadashi Utsavam. The celebrations last for eight days. A host of cultural programs such as kathakali and ottanthullal are staged.
Devotees observe fast and assemble in the temple for worship on the last day of the festival. A grand procession led by three decorated elephants also takes place on the final day.
