Chittamur is a taluk headquarters in the extreme southern region of Nellore District in Andhra Pradesh. The area is rich in natural resources and has abundance of glass grade silica sand deposits.

Chittamur is around 55 km south of Nellore. Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary is a tourist destination nearby.
