Chiriya




Chiriya is situated about 15 km south-east of Manoharpur in West Singhbhum District of Jharkhand. Chiriya is the second largest iron ore mine in the world, and Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has its mines here.

A beautiful place, Chiriya is surrounded by hills on three sides and the Ankua River flows nearby. It is nestled amid Saranda Forest and the forest cover enhances the beauty of the place.

Manoharpur Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
