Chintaman Vinayak Joshi

Marathi humorist



Chintaman Vinayak Joshi (1892-1963) was a distinguished humorist in Marathi. Highly inspired by the works of Jerome K Jerome, Barry Pain, and P G Wodehouse, he has penned over ten collections of humorous stories and sketches. Among his most popular works is Chimanravache Charhat, a collection of 13 humorous stories. This work is regarded as a classic of modern Marathi literature.
