Chinmaya Vidyalaya




Chinmaya Vidyalaya situated at Kolazhy, about 6 km from Thrissur town, is run by the Central Chinmaya Mission Trust, Mumbai. The school was founded by Poojya Gurudev His Highness Swami Chinmayananda in 1979, with the aim to produce successful and cultured members in the society. It is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and the school prepares the students for the All India Secondary School Examination and All India Senior School Certificate Examination.

Chinmaya Vidyalaya offers the most congenial atmosphere for the students to achieve academic excellence, spiritual and cultural enrichment. The school is also a place where the students have an opportunity to exhibit their creative talents as various co-curricular activities like debates, dumb charades, and TV shows are conducted. The titles Kalaprathiba and Kalathilakam are given to the outstanding students of each group during the school youth festivals, which are a regular feature of the school. Chinmaya Vidyalaya also participates in the All Kerala CBSE School Youth Festival conducted by the Sahodaya School Campus. The facilities in the school include a fully equipped and furnished auditorium which has a capacity to accommodate around 1000 students, a Saraswati Temple, a comfortable guest house and a fully equipped audio-visual room.
