A unique center for south Indian arts and culture, Chilanka Dance and Music Academy is situated at
Aranmula in
Pathanamthitta District. This registered institution was established in 1986.
The center offers training in Indian classical performing arts under the guidance of eminent teachers. Teaching sections include Kathakali, Mohiniyattam, Kuchipudi, classical music, violin, mridangam and veena. Facilities of research work in any field of aesthetic related to all Indian art forms are available.
