Chila

Chila is a small town located about 9 km east of Haridwar in Uttaranchal. It is one of the main gateway to the famous Rajaji National Park.

Another important attraction is the sandy beach situated about 1 km north of the Ganges, occasionally used by large river turtles. It is only walking distance through the dense forest. Elephant rides can be enjoyed.

Buses are available from Haridwar Bus Station. Haridwar Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
