Chhota Dara




Chhota Dara is a picturesque village situated 17 km from Chhatru in the Lahaul and Spiti District of Himachal Pradesh. It lies at an altitude of around 3,690 m, on the ManaliChandra Tal Lake - Hamta Pass trek route in Lahaul Valley.

Chandra River flows through Chhota Dara. The region is surrounded by huge granite walls. Chhota Dara offers magnificent views of snow-clad mountains and glaciers.

Sara Umga Pass, Bara Shigri Glacier, Chhota Shigri Glacier, Batal, Kunzum Pass, Losar and Gramphu are nearby. It is an ideal base for trekking, mountaineering and rock climbing. Base camps are available.

Kullu Manali Airport at Bhuntar is the nearest airport. Chandigarh Railway Station and Joginder Nagar Railway Station are the nearest railway stations.
