Chhatri Rani Hada

Chhatri Rani Hada, also known as Sati-ka-Chabutra, is situated on the banks of Yamuna River at Agra. It is the samadhi of Hada Rani (wife of Rao Amar Singh Rathor) built around 1644-1658 by her younger brother Raja Jaswant Singh.

There is a stone in the central pavilion. The enclosing wall is in damaged condition and has three doorways on the eastern side facing the river. Two octagonal towers are crowned by chhatris (pavilions) on the river-side.

The chhatri is rectangular in plan and has three openings on each side. It lies in the center of a garden on a high rectangular platform. One can enter through the opening on the eastern side. The remaining openings are closed by carved jalies (stone slabs). Decorative (chain-and-bell lotus) and other floral designs are found on the columns, brackets and capitals.
