Chhapeli is a song and dance routine belonging to the Kumaon region of Uttaranchal. It is a major attraction during festive occasions. It reflects the culture of the native people.

The artists performing the Chhapeli consist of a main singer and a dancer, accompanied by other dancers and singers. The theme in this dance is the love between a man and woman. The role of the woman is usually enacted by a man dressed in female attire. The love between the two characters is depicted in a series of questions and answers, forming a duet.
