Chhani is a town in the Vadodara District of Gujarat. Chhayapuri was the ancient name of this town. It is located near the ancient cities of Darbhavati (Dabhoi) and Vadapadh. According to manuscripts there were five beautiful temples in Chhani. This place was a military camp. The city derives its name from Chhavani, which means camp.
Shri Chhani Teerth is situated here. The temples of Bhagvan Shantinath, Bhagvan Mahavir Swami and Bhagvan Kunthunatha are also present.
