Chetanalaya, a registered non-governemtnal organization, came into existence in 1994 at
New Delhi.
It mainly focuses on the upliftment and development of the under privileged, oppressed and deprived communities of the society irrespective of caste, creed and religion. They deal in areas such as non formal education, skill development programmes, community health programmes, campaign against hunger and disease and welfare interventions.
Services offered include national institute of open schooling, computer and spoken English courses and employment bureau.
The organization also runs a rehabilitation center for the handicapped and counseling centers for drug addicts and families.
