A town in Tirunelveli District of Tamil Nadu, Cheranmadevi is famous for the Ramasami Temple built during the reign of the Cholas. This place is on the rail route connecting Ambasamudram and Tirunelveli. Ambasamudram is 11 km west and Tirunelveli is 15 km towards west.

Kalakadu Wildlife Sanctuary, Kunthakulam Bird Sanctuary, Manimuthar Dam and Krishnapuram Temple are the nearest attractions. Papanasam is a religious spot at about 20 km away.
