Cherai Chariot Festival is the celebration associated with Azheekkal Shri Varaha Venkateswara Temple of Cherai in Ernakulam District.
The ratha (chariot) used here is a rarity in temple architecture as the chariot runs on rails. The carnival is celebrated twice a year and the chariot is pulled by devotees around the temple in accompaniment of drumbeats.
