Chennai School of Ship Management (CSSM) is located in the city of
Chennai,
Tamil Nadu. It was formally started in April 1998. The school is an ISO 9001:2000 certified institution approved by the Directorate General of Shipping, Government of India.
The main course offered is the Alternate Training Scheme for Marine Engineers (ATS.) Elementary first aid course, medical first aid course, and personal safety and social responsibility courses are also provided.
All the class rooms are well equipped with most modern teaching aids including audio-visual systems, overhead projector, slide projector, TV, and video cassette recorder. Trainees are provided with hostel facilities. Other amenities available are fully-furnished laboratories, health care services, swimming pool, drawing hall, auditorium, and facilities for conducting various indoor and outdoor games.
