Chenkulam is a picturesque village in
Kollam District. It is situated on the Oyoor –
Ithikkara road, in between Oyoor and Kummalloor. It is located about 7 km from Kottiyam and 4 km from Oyoor.
Agriculture and rubber plantations are the main economy of the villagers. There are also cashew factories that employ the local women. Velinalloor River borders the village. St. Geroge Orthodox Church at Maruthamanpally, Oyoor Keezhuttu Sree Durga Devi Temple and Velinalloor Sree Rama Swamy Temple can be visited.
