Chembra Peak

Located near Meppadi, Chembra Peak is the highest hill in Wayanad District. This 2100 meter high is a trekker's paradise. Trekking to the Chembra peak takes almost a day and is one of the risky tourist ventures.

The main attraction here is the-blue eyed lake, which never dries up even in summer. The mind-blowing beauty of Waynad is visible from the top of the peak.

Temporary camps are available for the tourists to stay here one or two days. District Tourism Promotion Council provides facilities such as assistance of guides, sleeping bags, canvases, huts and trekking implements.

Chembra Peak is accessible from Kalpetta, 14 km west.
