Chekanoor

Chekanoor, a beautiful village, is situated in Vattamkulam panchayat, Ponnani, in Malappuram District. The eastern side of the village is bordered by Palakkad District. It is a small village lying between two beautiful mountains, the Kottiri Mountain on the west and the Anakkara Mountain on the east. These two mountains overlook the Bharathapuzha.

The village is situated to the south-east of Malappuram District. The nearest airport is at Kozhikode, 36 km away from Ponnani. Kozhikode Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
