Chaumukha Temple

Chamukha Temple



Chaumukha Temple is located on the Kaloha- Nadaun road near Nadaun in Kangra District. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

The facade of this temple is decorated with images of various deities in different postures. At the entrance of the temple there is a small Shivling. Inside the sanctum sanctorum, a four-mouthed marble image of Lord Shiva is worshipped. The temple has four doors, of which three are closed permanently.

Many stone images of gods are seen around the temple premises. Near this ancient temple there are four life-sized images of Nandi.
