Chaturmurthi Vidyeswara Temple is a famous temple located at Simhagiri in
Chikmagalur District. Dedicated to Lord
Shiva, the main attraction of the temple is its presiding deity with four faces. Designed by Vidya Shankara Teertha of Sringeri mutt, the deity attracts thousands of devotees. The idol is flanked by Lord
Brahma,
Vishnu, Shiva and two disciples of Vidya Theertha. The temple also houses the images of Lakshmi Narasimha, Chandra and Lord
Surya.
