Chaturdasha Devta Temple




Located at Old Agartala, Chaturdasha Devta Temple was built for the fourteen head images of Gods and Goddesses called ‘Chaturadasha Devta’ by Maharaja Krishna Manikya. The temple has a Nat Mandapa and Garbh Griha. The roof of the temple is flat on which two conical domes are raised. The upper dome is stepped slightly behind the lower one. The top of the dome is crowned with Kalasa (pitcher) including Pataka (flag).

All the fourteen gods and goddesses are brought in the open for worship only during the Kharchi puja. Thousands of pilgrims and devotees, from tribal and non-tribal community, throng here during this festival.

The temple is about 14 km away from Agartala.
