Chaturbhuja Temple




The Chaturbhuja Temple is situated 3 kilometers from Khajuraho and at 600 meters south west of Jatkari village. This is a nirandhara temple of modest size and consists of a sanctum, a simple shikara, vestibule, mandapa and a porch. A large image of 2.7 m height of four-armed Dakshinamurti Shiva is enshrined in the sanctum. It is remarkable for its expression of transcendental calm and bliss.
