Chatravata Narasimha Swamy Temple




Chatravata Narasimha Swamy Temple is about 3 km from lower Ahobilam. As the image of the deity is installed under a peepal tree, the Lord is called as Chatravata Narasimha Swamy. The deity is seen in Padmasana pose, carved out of black basaltic stone. A six-pillared Mukhamandapa is seen in front of the sanctum. The pillars have bas-reliefs of Sri Narasimha Swamy and Anjaneya(Lord Hanuman).
