Chaneti village is in
Yamunanagar District of
Haryana. It lies on
Yamunanagar-
Paonta Sahib highway, about 3 km from
Jagadhri and 10 km from Yamunanagar.
The village is noted for an ancient Buddhist Stupa (pillar), in the area of about 100 sq m. It is said that the great king Ashoka built this large round shaped stupa. Made of bricks, this grand stupa is eight meters in height.
Jagadhri Railway Station, on the Ambala-Saharanpur railway line, is the nearest railhead. Taxis and buses are extensively available from Yamunanagar and Jagadhri to Chaneti.
