Chandra is a small village located close to Midnapore in Midnapore District of West Bengal. Jhargram is 17 km to the west. The village is near important places such as Dahijuri in the west, Lalgarh and Pirakata in the north and Saora in the east.
Jungle Mahal, located at Salboni, Savitri Devi Temple and Jhargram Palace are the points of tourist importance outside the town.
