Chander




Chander is a small sleepy village of Monpa tribe and base camp for mountaineering in West Kameng District of Arunachal Pradesh. Chander is famous for Chongrey, a kind of animal. Chander is at an altitude of about 5,500 ft and Gorichen and Kangto peaks can be viewed from the village. The village is completely covered by snow during January and February. Bhalukpong is a major town nearby.
