Chandel is a picturesque valley situated 10 km from Bani in
Kathua District of
Jammu and Kashmir.
The valley derived its name from a spring called Chandel located here. Small orchards of apple, almonds and walnuts dotting its landscape offer an enchanting sight. The deep solitude and fresh mountain air, typical of this region, will be a panacea for group picnickers.
