Chandda Prabhoo is a village exclusively for vegetarians situated on the Madhavaram-Red Hills High Road, 13 km from Central Station in
Chennai. Numerous trees, extensive green lands and foliages dotting its terrain add to the scenic bliss. About 50 families, all opted for a natural way of life, live in this village now. When a person is allotted a plot in this village, he/she has to declare himself/herself a life-long vegetarian and teetotaller life. The main feature of the village is a goshala (cow shed) with 46 cows that ensure a supply of fresh and pure milk.
