Chandanpur of Hooghly District lies to the south-east of Tarakeshwar. Nearly 10 km south-east of this town is Kamarkundu. Singur, a taluk headquarters town of the district, also lies to the south-west. Dadpur to the north and Chandannagar to the east are other prominent towns in the neighborhood.
