Champahatti

Campahati

Situated in the south-western portion of Koladvipa, Champahatti is a place associated with Gaudiya Vaishnava Sect. Koladvipa is one among the nine islands of Navadvipa. Due to the abundant growth of Campaka trees, the place got the name Champahatti. The name is derived from two words Champa and Hatti, which means the champa flower and the place respectively.

Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is said to have visited here. An ancient temple, Sri Gaura Gadadhara Gaudiya Math is located here.

Champahatti can be approached from Samudragada (4 km) and Navadvipa (5 km).
