Chambal Ravine




Chambal Ravine is a rocky terrain located near the Vindhya Range in Madhya Pradesh. Touching the borders of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, this region has deep and narrow gorges which are overshadowed by thick green growth. The region, which derives its name from Chambal River, has been a safe haven for gangs of dacoits for a number of decades.

A popular legend says that this was the birthplace of Kunti, mother of the Pandavas. The region is rich in archeological remains. It is also home to hundreds of species of birds and animals.

Morena Railway Station and Gwalior Railway Station are the nearest railway stations and Gwalior Airport is the closest airport.
