Chakratirtha




Chakratirtha is a village situated on the bank of the Adi-Ganga River in South 24 Parganas District. Once, this place was very famous for its trade, commerce and prosperity. Tripura Sundari and Bhairab Ambulinga Shiva temples are situated here. A mela is also held here in the month of Chaitra when thousands of pilgrims take their bath in the pukhur (tank) of sacred Nanda.
